The covers are on their way to us and all that's left is the insert. Almost there!

Our gift to you, the first single from the Dynamic Truths' record Understanding is Overrated... FREE!!! The track is called "Sailors of the Highway" and offers just a hint of the genius found on this record. If you want to repost the link to the track on your blog, please do. We want everyone to be as stoked on this record as we are.
January 17th, 2010:
What's that phrase? "Life is what happens when you are making other plans"
2009 was a rough one for the label. Cinemasophia broke up. The Cinema / Ringfinger tour was brief, and to be honest, not terribly well attended but a GREAT time none the less. One of us at the label lost their job and spent a healthy stint unemployed. ARGHHH! Another one of us picked up and moved a few states over, and the third musketeer bought their first house and did the whole moving thing as well. Phew!
So here it is, early 2010 and we are recovering from a clumsy first year as a label. The Dynamic Truths release has been a long time coming and we are thrilled to say we finally have all the parts in and that the release date will be March 16th. The band has talked about playing a few reunion shows so all we can do is keep our fingers crossed that it actually happens. If you know any members of the band be sure to bug them about it so maybe if there are enough of us begging for a show, it will really happen. The record sounds incredible and I can't wait until everyone else will have the opportunity to hear this gem for themselves.
Some other announcements to make, we have formed a new partnership with the Independent Label Collective and are happy they will be distributing our records both in the physical format and in the digital world from now on.
October 7th, 2009:
It's been a long time since we offered an update but there has been quite a bit going on over the past several months.
* The Dynamic Truths record "Understanding is Overrated" is almost done. The mixing and mastering is complete and soon it will be off to the pressing plant. We hope to have it out as a very limited CD and in digital format by the end of January. We also would like to thank Merge Records for giving us the green light to release this record and include the songs from their original merge 7" single. We are honored to have their support and the CD will be available from the Merge store and from the Little Black Cloud web store in early 2010.
* We plan on pressing Dynamic Truth vinyl next Spring. As you might expect it will be VERY limited.
* The final 30 Ringfinger CDs are almost done and will be for sale via Magic Bullet or our label site. This final batch of Decimal will include a one of a kind actual photo Ringfinger took as a child. These CDs were limited to 100 and once these 30 CDs sell, they will be gone for good on this format. The Ringfinger Decimal vinyl second is available through the Little Black Coud webstore and through Magic Bullet as well.
* Ringfinger just finished a track with Forensics called Failed Master and this song will be a part of a Forensics EP coming out in a few months on Magic Bullet. She has been playing a few shows with them live and most recently performed Failed Master at the Rorschach reunion show in RVA.
* Final Ringfinger update : new songs are in the works for both Ringfinger and Drekkingarhylur.
* Unfortunately, Cinemasophia is no more (RIP). Luckily the band left us with one hell of a great record in Fits & Cyles before they called it quits. We are down to our last copies of the limited edition cd, and being that the band has broken up there are currently no plans to repress the cd in the future or to release it on vinyl, so if you have been sleeping on this one or waiting for the vinyl to come out I would suggest you grab a cd quick before they are gone forever.

Ringfinger + Forensics = Failed Master
Tracy Wilson (Ringfinger) is currently in the studio finishing up her vocal track for a Forensics collaboration track that is in the works. The deal is the Forensics supplied all the music and Tracy is supplying the vocal. The track will be called Failed Master and should be available soon.
Tracy may perform the song live this coming weekend at either of the dates below. So if you are in the area you should stop by and check them out.

Cinemasophia releases "Fits & Cycles" LP
Little Black Cloud Records is proud to announce the release of the first high quality MP3 from the much anticipated Cinemasophia "Fits & Cycles" LP.
Please enjoy these songs off the album. Just click on the links and download 'em!
Cinemasophia is a top notch indie rock band with all the twist and turns of a world class rollercoaster. In fact when we at Little Black Cloud Records heard the demos to this release we begged the band to let us put them out.
If you love '90s American shoegaze (Lilys, Swirlies, all that is Slumberland) and are looking forward to a new Polvo record as much as we are, then Cinemasophia's "Fits & Cycles" will be sure to wildly please you too.
What others are saying:
"It's quite reminiscent of the remarkably multi-personalitied Philadelphia band The Lilys, but also akin to more recent bands such as Grizzly Bear -- both with whom Cinemasophia have shared the rock stage. It's a lush, yet loosely woven tapestry of dream pop, shoegaze, and post-rock. In turn, the band can be all warm and fuzzy, robust and driving, introspective and intimate, fiery and dissonant."
– Aquarius Records
"As a record store owner, it can become quite the pain in the ass to describe music as you exhaust your vocabulary through miles of post-its. And, as you read record reviews all day, it becomes more difficult to understand what a band sounds like through words. Cinemasophia is a sonic assault of poly-rhythmic structures, minimal lyrics, satellite beeps, blah blah blah. This shit is good."
– Relative Theory Blog
The LP will be released worldwide in digital, cd and vinyl formats on April 7th by Little Black Cloud Records. Promotional copies will be available upon request.
